Farmers race bulls during the annual "Dua Bo - Cow Racing" competition in Tri Ton District in southern Vietnam near the Cambodian border on September 27, 2008.
The bulls race in teams of two, controlled by jockeys who ride behind them on rake-like, wheelless buggies.
The rectangular track, that is 160 meters long and 60 meters wide, is built on a rice paddy field and is filled with mud and water. Each race includes three laps of the track totaling 1,320 meters until the finish line.
The cow races brought 70 competitors and more than 30,000 spectators.
